Let me extend my hand to you
This is my chance to be thankful
In handfuls I hand you
Gratitude

Channel truth, no white lies
I’ll always think everything well through
Give all I’m compelled to tell you
First words, but lasting you a lifetime
Your charity, the type that nurses use
Moments of clarity, you there with me
Feeling like I’ve earned a few
Yearning you, so a connection
Is just what our energy turns us to
Just know the world is the only thing that could turn us too
Turn us through any crowd
I may withdraw, and then reach out
So if there’s no love for me, just know I learned from you
Teach me ways I can extend my hand to you
This is my chance to be thankful
In handfuls I hand you
Gratitude

Passing through I may not seem attached to you
I’m never known to cast or threw
The first stone, at worse I’m a fan of you
I’d rather soothe you, let you feel
Rather smooth like this afternoon
And never let your castle bruise
Be your adornment, your fort
Be your adoring, assorted support
Be more than you know in many ways
That friend as he gently sates
That praise when their envy shades
That cave over you from any blame like heavy rain
Tell me ways I can extend my hand to you
This is my chance to be thankful
In handfuls I hand you
Gratitude
